Chinese New Year is always a good reason to spree. It's a tradition to wear new clothings, which represents a new start for a new (lunar) year. Much as I hardly follow the traditions and find it a hassel to buy for a specific reason or occasion, it's sometimes inevitable to be affected by the surrounding.
So, here are the stashes! From City Plaza!

| NOT for CNY |
Very sad case - I only got to know City Plaza's transformation on that day. The place was formerly well-known for it's skimpy clothings. You know, body hugging, revealing and all. You can even find feathered apparels there which lao aunties and lao uncles wear for their Lunar Ghost month performance. I secretly suspect Phua Chu Kang's yellow boots were from there. There, or Chinatown. Either one.
Little did I know it changed, over the years, to a place best for cheap yet nice fashion. Where most blogshops get their clothings from and mark up the price and sell it to idiots like me.
Note to everyone, City Plaza is a must go if you are a sucker for blogshop's apparel. Or maybe I'm one of the last few to know this. Too much cooping at home makes me suaku so much so I've lost my knowlege of where to get the latest apparels.
Anyway, CNY reads reunion dinner. The day where mums (and *ahem* fillial daughter) is the busiest. Mum cook, daughter eat. Mum rest, daughter clean. Yes, I'm complaining about the amount of cleanup I had to do after everyone left. Or rather, WE had to do. Mum was in-charge of the kitchen cleaning, and I, rest of the house. Hmpf. Well, like I said, it was worth it. :)
So while most of the peeps started going back to work, I was still on holiday. Because the boss announced that our company is going to open only on Friday. Weee~. To add, I'm on leave on Friday omfg 9 days of rest in total (plus the weekends) no one will feel like going back to work.
While most of my friends went back to work, Lobang queen and I met up for a tai-tai outing. Afternoon traditional english tea, gossips, shopping and all.

| I hate my phone's camera. Lousy. |
Me: Okaaaay. This doesn't look filling. LOL.
J: I think so too. 吃不饱. Die.
Me: Nvm nvm. Just eat first.
(15 minutes passed...)
Me: Ok, let's plan where to eat later. This shit ain't gonna fill us up.
J: Rofl I think so too omg I feel like eating chinese food now.
(another 10ish minutes passed)
Waiter: Would you like another serving of the sandwiches? *shows*
J and I: OK. *pretend to be calm*
J: Psst, woah lucky it's refillable.
Me: I KNOW RIGHT! Now 吃得饱 already... Lol.
LOL. Right. So now I know, fine dining and afternoon tea are SO NOT FINE AND SO NOT ME AND MY GFs CUP OF TEA. We fail as a tai tai. xDDD I mean, we are not huge eaters but we definitely do not own a pea sized stomach can!

(which I cannot comprehend why) that was way too sweet for my liking. |

| A bit of camwhoring after trying out my newly bought hot pink lippie from Sephora! Lurve it. P.S. Fuck the loosened curls!!! |
At granny's place where my paternal's side of relative gathers. And every year my singlehood becomes one of the topic.. -_-
Weather was lovely that day and I wager the sunlight pouring in would be purfffect for pictures so..
Had the urge to edit my face smaller for the above pic.. Nvm.
Oh, just so you know, the curls at the bottom are done by flat irons. Not the curlers. Talking about hair, I think it's time to touch up the growing roots. And if you are wondering about the cost of dying my hair, I'm telling you, it's 11 dollars. Yes, it's a DIY!
I bought 2 bottles of hair dye for $5.50 each (I need 2 bottles because my hair was waist length that time!) and slapped it on my hair. I think it was Loreal, Light blonde or something. (Light blonde sounds scary. It never fails to intimidate me since I've long grown out for lighter hair colours. But it'll usually turn out just nice on typical black, asian hair) On promotion thus the price. Colour fades after a few washes.
P.S. I tried smelly toufu during my trip to City Plaza. Verdict? If you like tasting shit in your mouth, well then you shouldn't give smelly toufu a miss.
P.P.S. Watched "Journey 2 the Mysterious Island". Verdict? Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is such a cutie albeit his mega-huge disgusting overdone muscles. If you asked me, I'd prefer the 1st episode, "Journey to the Center of the Earth" which was more magical.
Journey 2 was more of a thrill. Would be better if there were more thrilling scenes. Overall the content was good.
P.P.P.S Watched the local filmed "We not Naughty". Verdict? Typical of Jack Neo. "We not Naughty" brought to view the current parent-children-society issues.
In conjuncture to it's usual jokes and humour casted by the 2 "I not Naughty" proteges, the fresh faces did a good job portaying their roles I feel. Never failed to let audiences have some 2-cents worth after watching.
Ok signing off here. Have a great weekend people! xoxo.
