End your Saturday...

With a good DIY facial, that is.

Right, this is what I'll usually do on my Saturday, before heading off to sleep. Named this the "healing facial treatment". So here it goes:

Step 1) Clean: your face with your daily facial cleanser (3 mins). Rinse with warm water.

Step 2) Exfoliate: the dead skin (2 mins). Rinse with warm water. Been using Clinique's exfoliating scrub and had love it ever since. Credit goes to Rachel darling.

For the oily or combination skin, yours truly's using this.

For the dry / normal skin.

Step 3) Mask: and moisturise. (20 mins)

Substitute with Cortry pimple mask if you are having acne. Good stuff. It actually diminish and prevents acne prone. DO NOT USE THE ABOVE SHOWN MASKS cuz it'll nourish the acne and grow it.

Step 4) Close: the pores with your daily toner. (1 min)

(Now, reason being why we are to rinse with warm water is to allow our pores to be opened, such that it could retain whatever nutrients from the face mask. So naturally we should close it to prevent the nutrients from eluding.)

Step 4) Apply: moisturiser / night cream.

Ok, question: If I have already applied the toner and minimised the pores, the skin will not be able to absorb the night moisturiser isn't it?

Truth is, I don't have a scientific explanation to it. This is how I work. I suppose the pores will naturally be taking in whatsoever nutrients you've got when you are asleep. Well I did hear research claims sleeping actually repairs your metabolism, and hence increases the metabolism rate.

(So sleeping is good. ^-^ )

Step 5) Apply: your eye reviving cream.

It's really important. Really.
