Go orangey in 2012

So I read on the papers, trend color for 2012 is gonna be Orange. Tangerine. Orange. 

Then, the mum casually remarked Orange, Yellow and Beige - are gonna be the lucky colors.

Beige? Fine. Yellow? Not so much of my color but I own a yellow tank top and I lurve the contrast on me.

But Orange??!??! 

Omgfmlp.

Not that I'm superstitious to stick with the so-called "lucky colors of the year", it's the trend I'm worried about. AND, not because of the trend that I'm gonna follow, I'm worried because...

EVERYMUTHAFU*KG piece of apparel with absolutely stunning design that caught my eye, would come in none other but orange color.

Life in 2012's gonna suck much.

Ok that's abit exaggerated. I kinda felt better knowing that the said color come in this tone:

Very much like red, yet not entirely. Thought of grabbing some CNY clothes and eyed this. Occurs to me that the color's called "Burnt orange". (And it's on its way to my home!)

Nice. Not forgetting peach is also in the orange color family. ^______________^

Concidentally, I changed my bedsheet over the w'kends and found out much later that, "hey, my bedsheet's orange.. -_-"

Nail color in.. nude red? 

Perhaps some pictures on the makeup for above dress sometime later? Contemplating if I should do it in earth or nude tones. We'll see.

I know this boy is adventurous when it comes to trying out new styles. Other than the bowl cut hair back in Korea, he was almost perfect in choosing his styles and fashions.

Not until recently, when he was in Taiwan. Everything seemed.. so wrong. I've haven't seen anything decent in his fashion sense except the one he took during the filming. Thank gawd that looked least shocking. Nothing remarkable, but at least not shocking.

It's just that, the color I fancy, red, is sometimes too wild, too overwhelming, too loud to be carried around. I used to wear red alot. From head to toe. Maybe because I thought I could carry off the color. Digress a little, I had this HORRENDOUS experience of wearing red top, red pants, red shoes, matched with red nail colors and bag.

And I thought it was cool. *facepalm*

Imagine a gigantic firecracker walking around the streets of orchard? Wah piang fashion disaster. Tsk tsk tsk. I is mad. But no leh, that time I think I very chio. xDDDD Okok don't click on the [x] to close your window.

My point is, I like red. But I don't carry alot of red stuffs. Especially I'm more.. toned down. Which is why I pick the color only for certain product. Like my nails or the organiser show below.

Look, what is next to red? Moving on with the color chart we have Orange, Pink, Purple. Orange? Yikes. Purple? Nah!! Pink? Ok deal.

Hah! See, I made do with pink because it's a safer color. My 1st preference is always red. I hope people stop relating me with pink already. :( Albeit I have lotsa of pink.

Anyways, something funny I read from allkpop. It's meant to be sacarstic, but the sacarsm was kinda hilarious so I'm pasting the segment here.

It's a bit lengthy, so you decide. I read the beginning and LMAO-d towards the middle part.

As much as I loved this performance of "Love Like This", I couldn't help but be a little disappointed. I had hoped that they would bring back the tattoo shirts that they had worn during their comeback stages for this goodbye stage. However, it seems those shirts are gone for good. That's quite unfortunate because those shirts were probably the coolest things since Velcro. The tattoo shirt sends a very clear message to the ladies, “You see this shirt? It means that I’m only rough on the outside. If I took it off, I am as soft as a teddy bear. As soft as a TEDDY BEAR! Unless you like it rough, because I can do that too.”

Boy did I want that shirt. To me, it was the pinnacle of modern day fashion. Unfortunately, I could not find a single place to buy it. My only option left was to make it myself. However, I quickly found that I did not own any skin tone shirts at all, and so the obvious next step was to search through my mom’s wardrobe. Lo and behold, I found a pair of my mom’s cream colored pantyhose. Okay, you don’t understand. I REALLY wanted that shirt.

So I took out a pair of scissors, and started to work on the pantyhose. I snipped off the crotch area to make a hole for my neck, and shortened the legs to match the length of my arms. It actually ended up being more of a really tight belly shirt, but whatever, close enough. Now I just have to worry about the tattoos. Initially I wanted to stitch tattoos onto it, but since I’m not allowed to play with needles, I had to settle with using a permanent marker. I have to admit, I haven’t seen many tattoos in my days, so I ended up just drawing a bunch of swiggly lines and added a really mean looking Pikachu to the back. Pikachu’s my favorite Pokemon.

Finally, after four long hours, the shirt was done. I was so excited that I had to restrain from kicking myself in the face. Without hesitation I slipped my new masterpiece on! I did however hesitate about whether I should wear that shirt in public. But then I thought to myself, “Hey, if the boys of SS501 could wear it, so could I… right?” WRONG!

I have never realized how cold it was outside until then. Thirty seconds out and girls were already pointing and laughing at my single erect nipple while guys were calling me names that rhymed with bag and domo. I don’t even know why they kept on calling out those names over and over again. I mean I'm not deaf, I heard them the first time. But then I thought to myself, “They’re probably just jealous. What did they know about fashion?” So I ignored them and continued walking proudly, head held high. Alright, so maybe I did cry a little bit, but it was only because it was cold. What? You’ve never cried because it was cold before?

Right after I turned the corner, I found a couple of thugs hanging out by their car. One look at me and they started cursing up a storm! They must have mistaken me for a rival gang member due to the tattoos on my shirt because they threw out a gang sign as I passed. However, the gang sign they used was really odd, definitely nothing that I’ve ever seen before. They formed a hole with the index and thumb fingers of one hand, while they used the index finger of the other hand to thrust in and out of that hole. I thought that maybe they didn’t realize how weird the gang sign looked, so I wanted to let them know. I told them that their gang sign looked really weird, and then suggested that they changed it. Well… they didn’t change their gang sign, but gave me an ass beating instead. They could’ve just said no. The ass beating was really unnecessary. Well, right after they had turned my underwear into a makeshift hoodie, I decided that it was probably a good time to head back home.

When I reached the front of my house, I had this odd feeling of an impending doom, and I just could not figure out why. However, it all became clear when I opened the door to find my mom standing there. She was NOT happy that I cut up a pair of her pantyhose and even less happy that I drew on it and wore it out in public. Let’s just say that the beating I got from those thugs was only an appetizer compared to the beating my mom gave me. I’m pretty sure some of the stuffs she did to me would be illegal even in countries where you can legally kill your own children.

In conclusion, the moral of the story here is to never cut up a pair of your mom’s pantyhose, no matter how cool you think it looks on SS501. Apparently moms do not like it when you do that kind of stuff. Who knew?

Workshop part II

Alright! The part 2 of the workshop. Amma going to do a chop chop one k?

Whilst it wasn't sufficient for us to finish the topic in 1 day. It was stretched for another day. Day 2, I had darling Michelle as the photographer of the day and thus, like Ann, did not appear alot in the collection of pictures

Prior to that, the ladies were told that the dresscode will be smart-casual and there will be assessment for each and everyone of them, the judges will decide on 1 best performance candidate.

Winner will be rewarded!

Review: Eyeshadow applicator

While I washed my applicators, I noticed the difference in quality. The one on the left was bought from "ta-chiang". Credits goes to annie whom sms-ed me the information.

The one on the right was from Daiso. Both retailing at about the same price. In fact, the one I bought from "ta-chiang" was 10 cents cheaper, at $1.90.

As you can see, the one on the right (from Daiso) - its sponge was peeling despite my first time washing it. Whereas the one on the left (from "ta-chiang") looked intact. The sponge looked much denser and cushiony too.

True enough, my recollections tells me the one from "ta-chiang" seemed much more user friendly. I tried to google the outlets of "ta-chaing" for you all's convenience but expectedly, there wasn't any results.

So, for those of you who desperately wants to get better grade eyeshadow applicators, there's "ta-chaing" outlet in respectively tampines (interchange) and bugis (somewhere along the Guanyin temple), that's about all I know.

Oh and to add, they run out of stock rather fast. So I usually grab 2 sticks (there are about 5-6 applicators where u can stack them neatly into a single stick) whenever I see any. Typical of me.

Not too sure if Aries outlets or other accessories shops are selling these but well, there's no harm trying! But do note, I got mine at $1.90. So no point getting them if the stack of applicators are selling above $2.50 or so lah huh... albeit merely 60 cents difference but still, times are bad! Recessions are everywhere!

My favourite! Racer tank tops! I owned at least 20 racer tank tops now I guess. Cotton somemore! Me like!! Can you imagine I wear them even to work? But I'll need to pull on a blazer lah..

Blue! I grabbed BLUE color. Can you believe it? I never had any thing in blue. At most turquoise, but never blue. Simply because I can nevar, nevar evar seem to carry off the color (and orange color too =____= ). Dunno why. But I grabbed these nevertheless.

Quite spacious to my liking actually. BUT! The air conditioning was insanely cold I wonder why. Retail shops there aren't too much of a difference from the norm of Singapore malls, reminds me of the concept of Cineleisure.

By the way, the cinema there isn't Golden Village nor Cathay nor Eng Wah nor Shaw, it's Filmgarde.

The infamous Tampines 1 that drove the entire tampines community crazy.

Everysinglemuthafker was going there and it caused human jam I tell you.

Like I had said, my first 2 attempt there failed. Not because of the shops that drew my attention, but because I heard there's in-built swimming pool there! So I want to kpoh lah!

Ah nee said I looked very tourist-ish snapping the pictures of malls and she's going ignore me. So I only quick quick took a significant one. The top floors looked quite posh from the outside isn't it!?
