Makeup for men

That's one of the assigment I was partly busy with! To conclude the month of May, each of us was to submit 2 reports - one individual and one group assignment.

While the individual one was pretty a much fixed 4,000 words report, the group task is for us to do a presentation - again, anything under the sun. But anyone smart enough will know the topic will have to be related to the subject we were being taught lah.

So my groupmates (very nice) came up with the topic of personal grooming - for corporate presentation. To share information of what to take note when you, you and YOU are required to represent your corporation to do a formal presentation.

We were all limited to a 12 minutes presentation, so the messages has to be concised yet powerful.

One of the segment was a 4-step demonstration on makeup for men. Done by yours truly! Just as well, I can use this as my blogging material.

I'm proud to say, we did well. In fact I think we have done it beautifully. Totally proud of Joe, JJ and JT. Of course, with the credits of the very supporting and participative audiences as well.

And here's some screenshots of our slides!

JJ, my guinea pig. LOLLL.

So why makeup for men? Looking from the above, the right one looked more radiant isn't it?

What I'm saying is, men don't necessarily have to wear makeup such that it looks very wayang. But a soft touch of colors to make you look healthier and not ghastly when you are up the stage.

No need to put on any makeup because you got a flawless skin? Look at JJ, he's got flawless complexion too, but when compared to the one on the right, the left picture seemed more sickly.

Why do male celebrities need to put on makeup? Why do the bridegroom needs to put on makeup? No, not only it's to cover their flaws. The answer is: lighting.

When strong lighting shines on your face, it reduces the its color. Meaning if you were to go up the stage (usually with strong spotlights), your naked, au natural complexion would be a shade lighter and thus, ghastly - from the eyes of the audience.

That is why even for men, it is essential to add some colors to their complexion so as to look normal onstage. Furthermore, it's really quite hassel free you know? 4 steps and its done.

Note that I DO NOT mean men have to wear makeups every now and then.
