Review: The Final Destination 4

Photobucket

On what should have been a fun-filled day at the races, Nick O'Bannon has a horrific premonition in which a bizarre sequence of events causes multiple race cars to crash, sending flaming debris into the stands, brutally killing his friends and causing the upper deck of the stands to collapse on him. When he comes out of this grisly nightmare Nick panics, persuading his girlfriend, Lori, and their friends, Janet and Hunt, to leave... escaping seconds before Nick's frightening vision becomes a terrible reality.

Thinking they've cheated death, the group has a new lease on life, but unfortunately for Nick and Lori, it is only the beginning. As his premonitions continue and the crash survivors begin to die one-by-one--in increasingly gruesome ways--Nick must figure out how to cheat death once and for all before he, too, reaches his final destination. Plot: Highly predictable. Or rather, it's like watching the rest of the FDs but different way of dying. It's like eating the same food with different utensils. There was abit of twist towards the end but hell, it wasn't awesome at all. Albeit unpredictable, but it failed to awe the audience.

However, the intensity of the movie was something worth applauding. Or rather, the script writer did not allow his audience to take any breather. The death of the victims were line up one after another, second after second. Leaving us no time to even breathe.

Cast: Not too bad. The shrilling and wailing and screaming were all there. Nothing too fascinating but I guess it managed to pull through the entire movie without the audiences rolling their eyes.

Graphics: Wooooo~ that's the only thing that attracted us to watch, isn't it? Ok, the graphics were there. Slightly more gruesome than the previous episodes. More splatters, whamming, konking, ouching! I'd say.. quite spectacular deaths in there! Kudos!!

Overall: I spent 6 bucks for it. Fine with my amount spent for the movie. Prolly a tiny wee bit of heartache if I were to spend 10 bucks for it. Oh, I didn't watch the 3D one, you may wish to try.

When is Jennifer's body going to air in Singapore? It says 18 September in the website. :(
