Just overheard this conversation between my colleagues:
A: Hey how do you spell "free gift"? It's f-r-e-e g-i-f-t is that right?
B: Wrong.
A: Which part is wrong?
B: The phrase "free gift" is already wrong.
A: Huh? Why?
B: Because "gift" is already free. Why add a "free" infront right?
Yah ah?! Now that struck me. Why do we use the term free gift free gift when a gift, on its own, is already free?
Intersting.
